This is an elegant standing stone, or at least it would be if it wasn't set into a large concrete base. It stands nearly 2m tall in the shadow of Knocklayd Mountain.
It was re-erected after being knocked over by a bull. Excavations prior to it being stood up again revealed that the low mound it stands on is of Neolithic date. The stone was erected at a later date.
