This piece of rock art isn't supposed to be here. Well, it is because this is where it belongs. However, the Carlow Inventory says that the stone was removed to the National Museum of Ireland, which is why I've never bothered coming to see it until now.

The stone is around 1m x 40cm and is decorated on its upper surface. At one end is a collection of cup-marks. The other end has a beautiful cup and ring design with lines radiating from its outer edge. This is very similar to the design at one end of the large carved stone at Drummin (County Wicklow).

The views are all to the south and southeast as the stone is on a slope facing in that direction. It is located next to the junction of several fields next to a well-worn track between two of them.
