I set out alone in the early evening to see what I could see. This court tomb is by the side of the road from Strandhill to Sligo airport, nestled in a little dip. As you would expect, Knocknarea (County Sligo) dominates the site, but does not appear to be all that important for some reason.
A bit of modern landscaping and some good old fashioned neglect has left this tomb in a poor state. It appears that just the gallery remains and not all of that is present. If there is anythng of the court here then it is either hidden in the long grass or actually buried. It is the pointed backstone that gives away the tomb's classification as a court tomb.
The gallery is about 5m long and segmented into two chambers by a low sill stone. It is aligned west-east with the entrance facing east in the general direction of Knocknarea.
