This stone is magnificent and stands about 1.8 m tall. Hidden away behind a water tower it sits at the reflex corner of a field exactly where the two fences meet. There is a house currently being built in front of it which allowed me limited access through to see it. Once this is completed it may require finding a different route or asking at the house.
It is extremely pointed and is either covered in bird droppings or somebody still white washes the top. Judging by its position under the hawthorns it is probably the former.

From Bagenalstown head north up the R705 to Leighlinbridge and turn right. Just after taking thr left turn at a fork you will see a water tower up on a ridge. The stone is behind that.
