There are actually two ogham stones here. The first one you come to is next to the field wall and is broken off about half way up its length. It now stands about 1.4m tall and the remaining inscription reads - CATTUBUTTAS MAQ ...
The second stone is on the other side of the field wall, but is free standing. It's a huge 3.2m tall with a clear ogham inscription on it, which reads TRENU MAQI MUCOI QRITTI (Trenu descendent of Qritti). This is accessed via a kissing gate 10m from the first stone.
Access is fairly easy - via two gates from the road and walking across two fields. Both stones were set in cattle grids for protection some time ago. An excavatin undertaken at the time found nothing.
