This is one of the few portal tombs in Clare and sadly it has collapsed. Mind you, from the size of the capstone I am not surprised!
The tomb sits, unprotected, in a small wooded area very near to the road. This wooded area is used for cattle which have turned it into a quagmire.
I imagine that this would have stood over 3m tall in its prime. Such a shame to see it lying flat.
