This was a real surprise. I was looking for two tombs in the area (which I didn't find) when I spied this incredible stone, standing on a low rise 100m from the road.
It is 3m tall, 60cm wide and just 15cm thick. A huge slab which reminded me of King's Mountain (County Meath) but without the carvings.
I am not 100% sure of the grid reference I have given here, but if you're driving or walking along the road nearby you cannot miss it.
