Depite there not being a lot to see here I found this tomb of great interest. As you approach it appears to be a low mound, about 1m high, with a flat top, from which a few stones poke out. When you get up close you can see that the chamber is a very curious figure of eight shape. Quite extraordinary.

The figure of eight chamber here is thought to represent two stages, the northern-most chamber being the original. This makes sense as this occupies the centre of the boulder circle. The circle has being partial robbed away and it is represented now by just 14 stones.

To me it gives the impression that the second chamber was actually formed by closing the passage to the central tomb, but the excavations obviously didn't point to this being a correct theory. If it was true then the passage would have pointed straight at the area now occupied by tomb 51 - Listoghil.
