This really is a lovely stone. It changes appearance as you walk around it as if its morphing into another form before your eyes. We also arrived at the perfect moment - early on a winter morning, with the hazy sun beaming in from behind it, adding a mystical atmosphere to the visit.
As we were standing at the roadside taking a picture of the stone in the haze, with its long shadow trailing across the field, the farmer drove past, stopped and told us to go into the field to have a proper look (which we would have done anyway, but it's nice to be invited).
This slender, 1.8m tall stone has a suspicious groove in the top, giving it quite a graphical phallic appearance, as does Scotchomerbane (County Antrim) just up the road.

From Clogh Mills take the B94 south to Clogh and the turn left along the B64. After 3km you come to a cross roads and then a road to the right. The stone is in the field just past this second road.
