Some stones you can say are by the road, this one is practically in the road. And it's a big one. A very slim column 40cm across and over 2.5m tall. It is amazing that it is still standing and that it hasn't been knocked down by a tractor turning into the gateway next to it.

After taking a photo for scale purposes using my 1m stick I set off up to the tomb. When I returned to the car, which I'd parked by this stone, I had a quick look to see if I could see whether the alignment of its long edge was at all significant. I don't think it is.
