One the map this appears to be part of an alignment heading southeast from the fort marked at T 197 614, but the other two stones (T 199 614 & T 201 613) seem to be missing. One of them may be in the hedgerow near to this stone. Continuing the line to the north west there is another stone marked (T 195 615) which also seems to be missing. A house at the nearby road junction seems to have three very nice stones erected in its garden ... I wonder!
The Tara Hill that these stones lie on is NOT The Hill of Tara.

From Inch on the N11 take the side road that leads to Tara Hill. Follow the road around the base of the hill until you are on the south side. The stones and fort sit in a field near to the first junction with a road going off to the right.
In an email I received on July 14th, 2004 I was informed that two of the stones from the field were removed in the 1950's - a time when much land reclamation occurred - and that one of the stones in the nearby garden is in fact one of the original standing stones, but is in its correct position and was not moved from the field opposite. The building work on the house was overseen by an archaeologist so that no harm was done to the stone. The others are modern additions and not of prehistoric date.
