Visit Notes

Sunday, 15th September 2002

I had known of this barrow for some time, but I never expectd to ever see anything here, but I should have looked by earlier, especially as it is right by the roadside. So close in fact that the road cuts a little piece off it.

It is around 12m in diameter with a 1m wide fosse and external bank. This is in surprisingly good condition and well worth a look.

Directions

Follow the R114 out of Dublin and take the third right after Oldbawn. Be careful this is a nasty turn that doubles back on itself on a blind bend. The barrow is just 20m along this road on the left.
