Kenmare stone circle - possibly the largest in the south-west. That's quite a claim t fame. It's a real shame that this is now a garden feature in a very small and unimpressive formal garden that is just 3m larger than the circle and not very well planted. It looks awful. The planting is done so that the river below is obscured and you can not stand back and look at it properly. Oh and they want you to pay to see it! Fools! What have they done!?

Back to the circle. It is formed from 15 stones which seem to alternate between green and brown stone. It is around 17m in diameter. In the centre there is a boulder burial under a very nice stone that has a single cup mark on the top.

If I ever go back here I will be disappointed if there is not a water feature in the garden.
