From this point on it was all to be megalithic. And where better to start than a full centre court tomb? Well, when the galleries are completely overgrown with brambles, almost anywhere!

The court is a lovely oval construction, 20m north-south and 8m east-west, with two large rocks forming an entrance passage to the east. The south gallery is totally hidden, but a very large roof stone lies inside the court which probably covered the whole of that gallery. The north gallery is a little more visible, having been opened up at the back, allowing you to see into the (bramble filled) chambers.

To the north of the tomb is a pile of stones, presumably the rest of the north gallery.

I had hoped to show Uta, my partner, a beautiful centre court tomb, but sadly this tomb is STILL overgrown with brambles and the farmer seems to have mmade it even more impossible to get to it by wrapping the gate in barbed wire.

Nice to know someone cares! I feel a letter writing campaign coming on about this very, very important site.

I've no new photos to add. This is because the site is now completely overgrown. Taking photos of a heap of brambles would have been too depressing. I did speak to the landowner, a really nice fella, who told me that he would never allow the site to be cleared, because at some time in the past he'd gotten fed up people disrespecting the site and his land.
