Visit Notes

Downpatrick high cross stands in front of the cathedral and is in a very poor state of repair. The only scenes that are really decipherable are the crucifixion with thieves and the last judgement on the head. One side shows some unusual scenes that are supposed to be from the life of the Virgin Mary. Adam and Eve make an appearance too.

The cross is not really worth seeing, except to complete the collection. There are some cross fragments in the foyer of the church which are quite interesting.
