Lusk is a small town with the most stunning round tower I've come across. Nestled next to the glorious church it has a history that is incredible. The tower is all that remains of a monastic site that once stood there. It is possible to obtain keys to enter the tower.
The tower stands over 90 feet tall and is now attached to a tower house that contains a small museum and a 16th century effigy.

_Follow the N1 north from Dublin and then take the R127 into Lusk. Take the first right after entering Lusk. The round tower is on the right after about 150m.
In the 6th century St. Macculin founded a monastery at Lusk, the round tower is all that remains of this site today.
