This tomb occupies a ridge-top spot that you would normally associate with a wedge and offers fine views. It is especially attractive when viewed from the road below.
There seems to be a few possibilities as to what stones remain. There are three stones supporting the capstone, but two of these appear that they may be the portals that have 'rolled forward'.
The capstone is really nicely pitted and weathered, but unfortunately now covers a pile of rubbish in the chamber.

Just because I was passing close by and I wanted to see all three of the portal tombs in Monaghan one after the other for comparison I stopped off here again.
The image of this tomb sitting on the false skyline above the road is quite unique for a portal tomb and even though I've seen it before still impresses. The grass was very wet here too, but not thigh-soakingly long.
