This stone is thought to have been part of a tomb that is no more, due to some other stones that once lay here with it. This, however, seems very unlikely. Both Anthony and I were in agreement that if it was from a tomb then it must have been from a portal and the location just doesn't feel right for a portal tomb.
The stone itself, which is now in a field boundary, is 2m tall and rectangular in both plan and profile, measuring 1m across by 30cm deep. It is aligned north - south. There is a noticable step outwards where it meets the ground.
It gives the impression of once being part of a stone row and not a tomb.
