Wow! What a wonderfully Christianised pagan place! This well goes beyond most that you come across in oozing with antiquity. First of all there is the well itself, then you have the healing well (recommended for warts, stomachs and toothache - although I don't fancy drinking water that people have been dipping warty appendages into - that takes real faith!) and thirdly there is a hollow in a rock that is called a 'Chair For Ailments Of The Back'.

The wells bubble out through the bedrock and the 'chair' is a natural, but odd, weathering feature - the scene here is one of extremely strange quirks of nature.
