There are three crosses standing here now and a fourth lies in the river close by. The crosses are very plane in comparison to, say, those at nearby Kells.
It has been suggested that the cross were actually boundary markers that denoted the extent of St. Ciar·n's monastery.
Also in the graveyard are a cross slab and an ogham stone that reads 'COVAGNI MAQI MUCOI LUCINI', but this is now very worn and damaged.
