| Dunsany - Bullaun Stone |
This cross is a late one and very reminiscient of an English market cross, standing as it does on a four-tiered stepped pyramid that could not have been practical as steps.
The cross is tall and slender and a false-relief crucifixion is carved at the junction. Above this is a lamb, also in false-relief, again pointing to a much earlier style. However, it is undoubtedly from the tmes of the Pale with very strongly Anglicised styling.
