After a good hard breathing walk up the hill I was about to give up on this stone when I saw it on the way back - it was hiding behind a few trees on the edge of the field and I had failed to spot it.
It is quite a shorty, just 1.1m tall at most and about 40cm to a side in plan. There are wonderful views of Pollaphuca reservoir (which obviously wouldn't have been there when the stone was placed) to the west and Seahan & Seefin mountains to the north east.
