Having seen pictures of this tomb I was ready for what I saw and I am still amazed by this site. Like many of the French tombs this one has a 'kennel hole' entrance, in its door slab, that leads into a 2m x 3.5m chamber.

The court is quite narrow and shallow but extremely well formed. To one side of the court there is a secondary chamber built into the cairn that measures about 1.5m square. The cairn and dry stone walling that holds it in rise to around 1.2m in height.

This is a lovely site which is only slightly ruined by the large tree growing inside the chamber which was not on the earlier photographs that I had seen.

After a long walk I needed somewhere to sit, relax and eat something and as I'd recently been told that the tree here had been cut down I decided that this would be a good place.

It took a while driving up and down the road to try and find a safe place to park I finally managed to sit inside the single chamber of the gallery and relax. It does look a lot better without the tree, but it is still a very unusual and interesting site. I just love the 'kennel-hole' doorway!

Despite being so close to the road this is a peaceful enough spot to take time out and relax at.
