After seeing the south cairn this was an added bonus, because this too has a large open kist burial at its center.
The mound is much higher than the south cairn and much larger, probably 15m in diameter and 2m tall (with the top missing).
The chamber is a massive 2m x 1m and 1m deep.

I couldn't remember the standing stone to the west of the cairn when I saw it today, but on seeing my previous notes I realise that I saw it through the fog. The neighbouring cairn has a stone in a similar position, so I would say that there's definitely some meaning behind them.
