Visit Notes

Friday, 29th March 2002

One of the most delightful locations I have visited. Sadly the tomb itself has collapsed but the sound of the babbling stream just 5m away is truly calming and yet exciting at the same time.

As you walk down the field into the dip the view of the capstone and the stream is wonderful. The capstone is now supported on just one stone and measures in excess of 5m x 2.5m. It is a large flat slab about 60cm thick.

Today seems to have a very water based theme and I love it! The whole area seems to venerate water locations.
