Visit Notes

What a wonderful place this huge rocky outcrop is. It is a public park now and has lovely footpaths leading to the top and benches scattered around.

The views are simply beautiful. To the north Howth seemingly floats as the sea and sky merge around it. Out in the bay is Dalkey Island with its church and Martello tower. To the south the Wicklow mountains rear up dark and ominous on the horizon.

If the Mother was worshiped in this area as all early manuscripts say then surely this place was special. A great place to chill out on a spring or summer day.
