| Kill Of The Grange - Bullaun Stone |
A beautifully ruined church with a sadly locked gate. On looking through the gate you can see grafitti all over some of the tombstones.
The church itself is very ruined and in the early moring light looked quite wonderful. To the right of the building is a roughly carved stone cross and to the left a cross base. In front of the church I could see some very old cross slabs, but they are facing away and I could only truly see them when I pulled myself up on the wall.
I will contact the council in the next few days to find out when and if I can get the keys. Definitely worth a re-visit if I can get inside.
I was unable to verify reports of a bullaun.
Heading south from Dublin on the N11 take the first left turn after the Blackrock/Leopardstown junction and at the second major crossroads turn left. Take the first left into a housing estate and the church is on your left after just 150m.
