Not a very interesting place. It really appears to be just a tower house, although I have not looked into its history yet. It is very nicely situated on a small promontory, typically a location favoured by many hill forts and so could have been a much older site.

Directions

From Kiltiernan take the R116 east for about 2.3km until you come to a crossroads. Turn right. After around 500m you will see the castle to the left through a gate.
