Visit Notes

Saturday, 2nd March 2002

I am nearly half way through all the round towers in Ireland now and so I had to chuckle to myself when this turned out to be nearly half a round tower!

There really is not much left at all; just a 4m high stump with a gaping hole in the side.

Directions

From Castlewellen take the A50 south towards Newcastle and then the B180 north. Take the first right and just 200m on your left you will see some green gates (probably locked), park here and walk along the track/road beyond these gates. The round tower is in a field to your left near the church.
