Here it is. Site 2000!

I made a conscious decision to make this site 2000 over the nearby multi-motif panel at Mevagh for two reasons. The main one is that this stone does not feature anywhere else on the internet at the moment. The other is because, despite being very plain in comparison, this stone seems to have some history to it.

The panel lies amongst the gravestones in the churchyard and seems to have been reused as a gravestone itself. Wow! I love things like that. How wonderful to have a 2000+ year old piece of rock art as your gravestone.

The panel is lying flat, embedded in the ground, so it is not possible to say if the reverse side has any carvings. The exposed upper surface has around 20 large cupmarks.
