Situated on the southern slopes of Croghan Mountain overlooking a small NE-SW valley and the early stretches of the Ban River, this stone has fine views. Unlike its neighbour ( Croghan Middle (County Wexford)) this stone looks as if it has been worked. The top of the stone has been roughly shaped above a ridge that runs around it. This gives it a rather ugly and uncomfortable phallic appearance. It stands around 1.5m tall.

I wasn't able to get too close to the stone due to the presence of new-born lambs in the fields.
