When you first see this huge boulder it is a little disappointing. In direct sunlight none of the motifs show up, but with application of a little water the large collection of single cups and cup and ring devices comes to life.
The stone stood inside a field bounary for some time, which protected one end of its carved surface. Now that it stands in the centre of a field it's in danger of disappearing for good.
The main decoration consists three large cup and ring motifs. The largest of these has five wide rings. This is nearly 50cm in diameter. Next to this is a smaller three-ring group and beyond that there is a four-ringed motif. Scattered around these are the faint traces of single-ringed cups and solitary cups.
At its largest the whole panel is 2m x 1.4m with the good carvings occupying its wider end.
