From the road I just could not work out what this stone was going to look like. It seemed to be a very odd shape indeed. When I reached the stone I could see why: there is an OS trig point right next to it and from the road this looked as if it was part of the stone.
After so many small stone recently I was surprised at the size of this one. It is 2m tall and 1.5m wide at the top. The base is narrower. It is a slab about 40cm thick. Being so high up (relative to the surrounding land that is) the views are quite good, especially to the northeast.
