This wonderful and huge stone disappeared off the radar for 60 years. Liam Price recorded it in his diaries, but it failed to make it into the Wicklow Archaeological Inventory (like so much other stuff, including some rock art 60m from this stone!)
This is a big boulder, over 2m long and 1.5m wide and standing over 1m clear of the ground ... pretty hard to miss really. There are three large bullauns, two of which are over 30cms in diameter. The third is slighlty smaller. The smaller bullaun and one of the large ones are situated on the eastern edge of the boulder. The other is placed centrally at the southern end of the stone.
After re-reading Price's notes I think this stone may have been moved quite some distance, which is why I couldn't locate the two other stones said to be just yards from this one.
