I am not too sure about the townland for this fine pair of standing stones.
The OS map simply shows 'Standing Stone', so I was very surprised to see a stone pair come into view as I walked down the track towards the beach. The stones are just 100m or so from the Atlantic Ocean - coast to coast in a day!
The two stones couldn't be more different. The largest is over 3.5m tall and 1.3m wide. The smaller one, 7m away, is just 1.4m tall. They appear to align on the highest point on Inisbofin, an island 11km to the south.
