There are many pictures of this carved slab on the internet showing the wonderful carving in great detail. These must have been taken quite some time ago, because now it is all but impossible to make out the lines. Perhaps with the sun in just the right position you could still catch some of the detail.
The slab stands in the centre of a small killeen or child's graveyard. This is a raised area about 10m in diameter and just under 1m high. The whole of this area is studded with small, unmarked grave slabs, so take care when you walk around - it's potentially ankle breaking. There is a small parking area on the bend to the north of the field and a few steps built in to the wall allowing access.
The one feature of this site that can't be ignored is the fact that it is within the shadow of Croagh Patrick. The views from the site are amazing.
