Cairn N looks more like a barrow these days. Unlike many of the other cairns at Loughcrew it is grass-covered. There are several large stones around the circumference marking out its kerb.
The mound is 1.5m high and about 10m in diameter. Being situated at the extreme southwest end of Carnbane East this location has great views to the south over the plains below and to the west towards Carnbane West.
