With little time to spare, because the rain was closing in I opted to visit this circle. The farmer was very helpful and gave me clear directions and reassured me that the horses in the field I had to cross were fine - most horses don't bother me, but occasionally you meet a mad one!
The circle is very ruined. Just one large stone remains standing. Others lie scattered around. If they are anywhere near their original positions then this was a small circle. There is one other stone that is about the same size as the one that still stands. Its position makes me think that this pair could actually be the terminal stones in the court of a court tomb - this may not be a stone circle at all.
On my way back to the car I noticed what I think may be the quarry where the stones for the circle were originally sourced. If this is the case then this is a rare thing to find.
