This is a large cairn that is made of large stones. The pile is 20m across and 2m high. As far as the eye can see there are large rocks scatterred around the heathland - it certainly wasn't a difficult job for the builders of this cairn to find the material to build it.
It is built on the top of a low spur at the southern end of the Monavullagh Mountains and looks out towards Crohaun, the southernmost peak in these mountains. To the northeast the 593m high Farbreaga Mountain dominates the skyline.
