At first I couldn't believe my eyes. Were those stones really arranged as I seemed to see them. Closer inspection showed me that they are indeed! What I was seeing was the outline of a small undifferentiated passage tomb. Parallel rows of upright stones then a low stone set at 90 degrees (a sill stone) then the rows continuing but getting wider.
As far as I can tell, I'd just discovered an unrecorded passage tomb! It isn't very big, but then any of the orbital passage tombs at Knowth are tiny structures, so I see no problem with this being a small outlying tomb to the main monuments here on Seahan. In fact, I'd say there must be more waiting to be found beneath the peat.
This brings the total on Seahan to four, not three as I had believed. I'm quite happy about that!
