I have decided to split Inishcaltra, or Holy Island, and create a sub-site for each of the building and monuments on it. They are so diverse that I feel they deserve it.
These consist of several churches, a high cross, a holy well, seven bullaun stones and a real oddity known as the Bargaining Stone.
(see fig. ) I will also update this post later with a few selected bits from the island's history. This will obviously take quite some time, as I want to post the sites and images before embarking upon this. (see fig. )
