This standing stone is very plain and simple. It is square in section (40cm x 40cm) and around 1.5m tall. It is situated in a low-lying boggy field between a road and a disused railwayline.
Due to the modern activity there are no clues as to its purpose, but one thing is for sure: it's a great place to stand and look at Muckish Mountain, the snow covered slopes of which were to be ever present for the next few site visits I made.
