The first thing you notice when you first see this stone its shape. It protrudes from the soil like a huge Hammer of Thor! It is really hard to say if this is its original shape or if the base has been worn away by having something tethered to it.
There are many natural features in this rock including a huge hole in the west facing side that goes upinside the rock about 30 cm.
I was (and still am) amazed by the presence that this magical stone exerted even from the edge of the field. This has become one of my favourite stones for no apparent reason other than its shape and feeling of being.
