I nearly didn't visit this site, but it was on the way home (with a small detour) so I went along. One of the best choices I have ever made. This stone is beautiful!
From the road this stone looks amazing. Its size seems to be impossible at over 2.2 m tall and tapering at the bottom. It seems to defy science! When you get along side it you become even more impressed. It is only 25 cm thick and how it has survived so long is beyond me. It seems that the slightest touch will make it topple.

From Mullinavat take the R704 east. After you have passed the third farm track on the left you will see the stone (around 2.3km).
