This is a fine slab-like monolith standing on the northwest face of Eagle Hill to the north of Castletown Bearhaven.
As I approach this stone up the farm track I realised that there was a very large bull in the field. He was over the other side of the field so I chanced it and luckily he decided to ignore me. A quick mention has to go to the farmer here, because he has installed a stile into the next field where the nearby wedge tomb stands.
The stone stands an impressive 3.5m tall and is 1m broad. The long axis is aligned roughly north-south.
