Visit Notes

Sunday, 9th December 2001

When you go looking for these the OS map says that they should be at the base of a hill, but when you get there they stand proud and gleaming white on the hill top. The first impression is that they are quartz, but when you get close they are whitewashed.

Where the OS map marks the stone row location there seems to be a well instead.

These three stones are very similar to the nearby stone row at Whitechurch (County Wexford). They are arranged in height order with the tallest being about 1.2 m. The smallest is around 90 cm.
