If you keep walking along the old track you eventually reach St. Mella's Cell, an oratory measuring just 3m x 4m internally. St. Mella is said to be St. Manch?°n's mother and the site could have been a nun's church built just outside the main monastery boundiaries. They used to walk along the track and meet everyday.
The little grove in which the building sits is very picturesque and the dappled light streaming in through the giant pine trees adds a little bit extra on a sunny day.
The glade has had some attention paid to it with several trees that were encroaching upon the building having been felled. A local man I spoke to in the main graveyard told me that there are also plans to restore this building too. I don't know that restoration will do it any justice, but preservation work is definitely needed.
