It would be nice if this happened every day ... Wake up, stick head out of tent (or house) and see an unrecorded standing stone on top of a hill!

This stone is not marked on the OS map, but there is a ring barrow marked, so the two could be connected. It would appear to be around 3m tall (judging by the cow that was standing next to it) and rectangular in section.

It is located on the highest point of a ridge formed by low, gently curving hills that increase in height from north to south.

We had to break camp and move off early, so I didn't have enough time to climb the rather steep looking hill to take a closer look. Now I know it's there I can plan to do so when I next stay in the area.
