Visit Notes

Sunday, 6th June 2004

Standing at the wedge tomb above at Leana (County Clare) I saw these two extraordinary round boulders sitting on a raised dias-like mound.

They are aligned east-west and a line drawn through the two prominent tombs at Parknabinnia (County Clare) passes through this spot. A line drawn from the cairn at Parknabinnia and that on the hill above ( Leana (County Clare)) also passes through here. Could this be a sort of stone row? I think it's quite possible.
