Visit Notes

Sunday, 28th March 2004

As you walk to (or back from) Carrigagulla (County Cork) you pass by a very odd arrangement of stones indeed. Four of them are now used as gates, but one stands some way off in the field. The farmer told me that he can remember three standing in the field when he was young, but they fell. One of the gate post stones was dug up by him a few years ago some distance from the others. Was it once a very long row of five or six stones?
